Favorite Place Friday: New York City
"Concrete jungle where dreams are made of,
oh, there’s nothing you can’t do, now you’re in New York."
-Jay-Z
The first time I went to New York City I was 9 and instantly fell in love; everything about the city mesmerized me. It was everything Oklahoma wasn't - bustling, energizing, cutting edge...the list is endless. So years later when I decided I wanted to go to college for fashion there was only one choice on where to go....and go is exactly what I did - to FIT. Attending college in the greatest city on earth is...well...quite an experience, one filled with many stories (most only reserved for telling when alcohol is involved), an empty bank account, and a lifelong obsession for the city that never sleeps. I ended up moving away for work after graduation but I go back as often as I can. Below are some of my favorite restaurants (notice the long "drinks" list - that's no accident). Even though it's been 5 years since I lived there, the second I land it still feels like home.....always will...
