Possum Kingdom - Lake Weekend
Not every trip needs to be extended and full of planning. Last Wed a friend texted asking if I wanted to come to the lake, I knew I didn't have plans - checked with the boyfriend and he said we were good to go. BOOM. Last minute plans confirmed.
Some friends of ours have a house at Possum Kingdom - about 2 hours outside of Dallas. It's beautiful and right on the lake. They have a boat and plenty of lake toys (jet ski's, wakeboards, water ski's, etc). We drove down on a Friday after work, grilled out, then took a late night boat ride. I don't remember the last time I saw that many stars....beautiful and peaceful.
Saturday was spent on the lake, drinking, laughing, me attempting to wakeboard (I appreciated everyone's patience as I fell I don't know how many times, but I eventually got myself up!). It was incredibly relaxing and peaceful, I didn't want to ever come back....
